Meet Dra. Claudia Acosta Cadavid

My name is Claudia Acosta, I am an ophthalmologist and surgeon, specialized in medical retina with training in eye rejuvenation surgery. I am currently in private practice at INIO, OP and Clofan in Medellin, Colombia.

I am frequently invited as a lecturer at international congresses and have been a guest lecturer at ophthalmological societies in countries such as Argentina, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala, United States and Italy. My Story

I obtained my medical degree and completed my residency in ophthalmology at CES University in Medellin, Colombia. I completed my fellowship in ocular plastics at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA and specialized in the diagnosis and management of medical retinal diseases at Miramar Eye Specialists, in Los Angeles, CA, USA.

I guide my professional practice with clinical research, participating as an investigator in multiple studies and clinical trials. My main research interest is focused on optical coherent tomography (OCT).

As a researcher, I have authored multiple scientific articles published in international indexed journals, contributing to the development of innovative treatments for eye care.
